Our legacy of influence is built on turning authors’ dreams into reality and being agents of change since 1989—a reputation reflected in unequaled bestsellers, creative deal-making, and industry innovation.
BESTSELLERS AND SALES
Fourteen Alive Literary Agency titles have been #1 New York Times bestsellers, with hundreds of others anchoring the top sales slots of USA Today, Publisher’s Weekly, The Wall Street Journal, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other notable lists around the world.
Combined sales of Alive-negotiated books are now at 250 million. Dozens of Alive titles have sold more than one million copies each.
AWARDS AND MEDIA
Our distinguished authors have been honored with prestigious awards, including the National Book Award and Nobel Prize. National media regularly profiles our authors with cover features on Time, Sports Illustrated, Parade, Publisher’s Weekly, Newsweek, and the front page of the New York Times, as well as repeat appearances on the Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, ESPN, and virtually every leading talking show.
Alive has closed some 5,000 deals with the major New York publishers and virtually every Christian publishing house in America. We’ve also built our authors’ platforms through numerous film adaptations, including Tri-Star Pictures’ Heaven is for Real and Hallmark Channel’s The Bridge (Karen Kingsbury), and numerous other innovative television, radio, gift product, curricula, Bible, and endorsement deals.
Being ground-breaking is our nature. We shepherded the breakout Left Behind series to sales of nearly 70 million and The Message Bible to some 20 million. We’ve developed shelves of books for organizations like Promise Keepers, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) and Women of Faith. Alive is also known for its deep roster of more contemplative writers, including the late Brennan Manning and Henri Nouwen.
